As a new user, first have a look at the Getting Started sections in order to be ready to use Stambia DI or Stambia MDM for the first time.
When mapping fields, the target field's background taks one of these colors : an orange color means that the drag'n'drop will result in a "map" action, a dark blue color means that the drag'n'drop will result in a "join" action, and a light blue color means that the drag'n'drop will prompt for Join or Map (starting from S18).
Processes often use variables, for example in the links' execution conditions. Here is how to refer to a Statistic variable:
__ctx__.sumVariable("<variable name>","<path to the mapping>")
Some examples:
__ctx__.sumVariable("SQL_STAT_INSERT","./Invoice/Load Invoice")
__ctx__.sumVariable("SQL_STAT_INSERT","../InitData/Products")
This tip can be useful for example when working with big processes. Double click the view's tab and it will expand to the whole window.
This works with any view: processes, mappings, metadata, SQL explorer, properties, Expression Editor...
Simply double click the tab to get back to the previous layout.
Showing the Java Heap usage for the Designer can be helpful to check the java memory used by the Designer.
Go to "Window > Preferences > General" and check "Show heap status".
This will display the information at the bottom of the screen. To the right of the usage bar, the small trash icon can be used to run Java's Garbage Collector.
Having multiple workspaces can be sometimes confusing. If you name them, the workspace name will be displayed in the title of the Designer's window.
Simply go to Window > Preferences > General > Workspace.
And provide a name in the "Workspace name" field.
Make sure that you Restart the Designer, so that this parameter is saved.
