This article describes the principal changes of SAP Templates.

Prerequisites:

SAP Connector 1.0.15 or higher

SAP Installation Resources 2019-10-11 or higher

New templates

The whole mechanism for communicating with SAP Datasources and SAP Tables has been revised and changed, for better security, performances, and support.

SAP Datasources communications are now retrieved directly from SAP RFCs instead of HTTP, for better compatibility and support with SAP.

SAP Tables communications are now performed directly from SAP RFCs which have been revised and reworked, for better performances and support with SAP.

Make sure to read carefully the migration section of the installation guide shipped with "SAP Installation Resources" archive if you want to use this new mechanism.

There are important migration points to know about the migration from previous mechanism.

The following Templates have been updated to support the new mechanism introduced in SAP Connector:

INTEGRATION Rdbms to Sap (OpenSql)
LOAD Sap DataSource to Rdbms
LOAD Sap OpenSql to Rdbms
UNLOAD Sap DataSource
UNLOAD Sap OpenSql

Deprecated templates

Following Templates are now deprecated:

INTEGRATION Rdbms to Sap (Table) (deprecated)
LOAD Sap DataSource to Rdbms (deprecated)
LOAD Sap OpenSql to Rdbms (deprecated)
Receive SAP data WS.md (deprecated)
Receive SAP data WS.proc (deprecated)
UNLOAD Sap DataSource (deprecated)
UNLOAD Sap OpenSql (deprecated)

They have been kept for backward compatibility with existing development.

On new developments the new Templates will be selected automatically instead of these ones.
